About the role
By focusing on quality in all aspects of Water Production, we are committed to providing clean, safe, and reliable drinking water, which complies with all the necessary regulatory standards and ensure it is available when our customers want it.

The Water Production Operational Excellence team is a technical resource with a mix of specialisms, and we currently require additional expertise in the areas of power, energy and/or mechanical to work closely with our operational colleagues in identifying and delivering cost efficiencies across the water production estate.

You are likely to have experience in one or more of the following:

Energy/mechanical optimisation of pumps, motors, and other process assets
LV and/or HV experience acquired in the above
Energy data interpretation and trend analysis
An understanding of supply resilience
Developing solutions supported by robust cost-benefit analysis
Project management and co-ordinating delivery of site-based projectsTo be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

Technically Qualified in a Power/Energy/Mechanical discipline
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective working relationships with key stakeholders on a day-to-day basis
Results-driven, continuously seeking new and improved ways of working
A self-starter, comfortable in taking the lead and not reliant upon close supervision
A logical analytical mind, able to maintain a positive and professional approach when dealing with internal customers at all levelsWhat's in it for you:
These are unique roles, and you will work with colleagues on multiple activities that improve asset performance and reduce operating costs, and you will have opportunities for furthering personal development, training, and knowledge.

The nature of the role will require travel across the Thames Water region, and consequently, you will require a full driving licence. A private car allowance will be available, and your base location can be at one of our production sites including S. London (Hampton) NE London (Coppermills) SE London (Orpington) Reading (Fobney) and Thames Valley (Farmoor)
