Up to £41,900 per annum + flexible and agile working
Lancashire, North West of England

new Business Assurance and Risk Manager to join their team on a permanent basis and we are eager to
speak with people looking to take the next step in their career.
We are looking for someone who;
* Is confidant in performance management, can challenge and question in the right manner
to bring the best out in this organisation and move forward to offer an excellent service to
their residents
* Is passionate about risk and governance in social housing and has a track record of setting
high standards and delivering outstanding service to internal and external customers to
deliver corporate objectives
* Skills and experiences in business performance reporting, business analysis, strategy and
planning, compliance across a breadth of activities and project management
* A confident communicator both verbally and electronically able to create and develop
productive business relationships, identify the need for change, use a coaching leadership
style to ensure managers are supported and manage transformation and change
* Perhaps you have worked in a financial services background, in internal audit or
governance and risk as an Officer and feel now is the right time to take a step forward in
your career with an organisation who support and develop their team?
This is a new position to the organisation, and we are excited to be working with them while they look to
develop their Assurance, Business and Continuity team. This role is taking the lead and managing risk
whilst supporting the wider company and comes with the support of the Head of Business Assurance.
Within this role you will have opportunity to progress and develop as a valued member of the Business and
Corporate team. This is a permanent and full time position because of changing business needs and the
significant commitment and investment in a new risk management software, Pentana. This role is part of
the structure and is not at risk, sits within an established organisation who encourage agile working and
were already set up for working from home which means unlike other organisations, this position will not be
put on hold due to current national changes, if anything this role has become even more of a priority for
Progress Housing to ensure their team continue to grow and become stronger in order to offer an even
better service to their residents at this time.
Successful applicants may have the following in their skill set and experience;
* Recent experience of working in a risk management and a business continuity environment
* A natural or comfortable communicator at all levels of business, happy to be challenged and able
to challenge professionally
* A hands-on \"doer\" eager to be given the opportunity to take the lead on operational actions and
get things done for the betterment of the organisation, changes which will be welcomed in the
team
* An analytical thinker with good attention to detail when it comes to audit, risk management,
business assurance, governance or finance
