Complaints and Risk Officer

A new position has arisen at a reputable West Midlands law firm for a complaints and risk officer. This role is due to expansion and will directly support the head of complaints and risk dealing with a mixture of client complaints and regulatory risk issues.

This is a niche position where the key objective of the role will be ensuring that issues raised to the team are dealt with in a timely and fair manner and that outcomes are achieved in line with current regulations and guidelines, as well as ensuring adherence to the firms' policies and procedures.

This role requires three years' experience within a customer care, complaints/compliance roles within a regulated sector, experience of or recent exposure to current regulations and guidelines as set or by the SRA and legal Ombudsman along with a proven track record of maintaining and developing positive stakeholder relationships.

Experience of dealing directly with investigations conducted by an Ombudsman Service (such as the Financial Ombudsman), knowledge of the Legal Services Act (2007) and SRA Standards and Regulations (2018) or knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing legislations would be desirable but not essential.
