Credit Portfolio Oversight Specialist - Risk

So, what will the Credit Portfolio Oversight Specialist do? Reporting into the Credit Portfolio Oversight Manager for Personal, as part of the Group Credit Portfolio Oversight team, the Specialist is responsible for providing oversight, challenge and opinion on portfolio performance. Appropriate second line oversight of the Group's lending portfolios is fundamental to the success of the bank.

Here's what you'll be doing…
• Portfolio performance: monitoring and identifying trends, strengths and weaknesses.
• Provide insight, oversight, challenge and independent opinion.
• Report credit findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide credit opinion for contribution and delivery through to stakeholders including regulators and rating agencies etc.
• Support and coordinate the delivery of deep dives and assessments of portfolio composition and asset quality.
• Supporting the development and recommendation of appropriate RAS metrics, limits and triggers and consult with RAS metric owners across the 1st and 2nd lines.

There are a few essentials you need to bring…
• Experience within a credit environment.
• A strong understanding of retail banking with experience in using appropriate data manipulation tools.
• An ability to evaluate Credit performance relative to internal and external standards and initiate change.
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills with the ability to keep the complex simple.
• Experience in building positive, trusted relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

We'd love you to have (but not essential)…

• High level qualification in a numerical or coding-based discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of conduct risk / regulatory requirements in relation to Personal products.
• Broad knowledge of Risk Management disciplines and the three lines of defence model
