Skipton Building Society has an exciting opportunity for a Credit Risk Analyst to join its Credit Risk & Risk Modelling team in Skipton. You will support risk management activity with a breadth of opportunity to add value to the Society. We've adapted really well to home working during the current pandemic, so although the role is based at our Head Office in Skipton there would not be a requirement for you to be in the office full time. You will have the opportunity to flexibly work across the Credit Risk & Risk Modelling team to support leaders and collaborate with colleagues to deliver department priorities and personal objectives as required. At times the role may also involve working with cross functional project teams.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will have a passion for analytics and have a natural curiosity to explore drivers of risk. You'll support running critical processes by undertaking a range of analytical tasks. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of key processes in Credit Risk. You'll collate, create, and analyse your own data to contribute to committee content. You will have access to a breadth of data and tools, where your expertise can turn information into real insight and opportunity. As a highly motivated individual, you will support change, through initiatives and projects as well as implementing your own ideas.

This role will allow you to build excellent relationships with a range of stakeholders, supporting activities across the Society. As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will support the team to manage lending and portfolio risk and support new mortgage lending.

You will have a strong awareness of the external environment, to inform potential enhancements to risk management and committee management information. Your insight and wider team engagement will support changes to lending and portfolio risk management and ensure the on-going support of 2nd line oversight or Lending Policy. You won't hesitate to work autonomously and manage your own workloads. You'll continue your development, gaining relevant specialist skills and training in appropriate analytical tools to aid your work. There will be opportunity to work across the Credit Risk & Risk Modelling team on a range of activity.

What You'll Bring

You're an excellent communicator and a role model to the people around you. You'll have the ability to work with complex information and deliver value to the Society. With experience in using analytical tools, you'll have the aptitude and enthusiasm to learn new coding approaches and develop your analytical capability.

Your skills:
?Highly numerate and able to think in a structured, logical and timely manner
?Good working knowledge of MS Excel and analytical skill with the ability to interpret data
?Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
