Credit Risk Manager

The Corporates team within Credit Risk Management (CRM) is responsible for managing, approving, monitoring and controlling all credit risks arising from our Investment Banking relationships with EMEA corporate counterparties. This includes underwriting debt financings in connection with leveraged buy-outs, acquisitions and refinancing, loan participations as well as credit lines for derivatives business

Key Responsibilities:

Pro-actively engaging with the front office to structure solutions which assist its growth, minimize the bank\'s expected loss and are in compliance with internal policies.

  • Approving or recommending for approval new credit extensions, amendments, renewals and/or re-financings.
  • Performing counterparty credit analysis including, but not limited to, credit due diligence meetings, cash flow and liquidity analysis, sensitivity analysis, and collateral and enterprise valuation analysis.
  • Reviewing and revising obligor specific internal risk ratings and SNC ratings assigned to capture differing degrees of credit risk over time.
  • Evidencing a robust assessment of existing credit exposure through quarterly and annual monitoring reports.
  • Identifying early remedial action on deteriorating credits, working jointly with the workout department to manage problem credits and/or workout situations.
  • Provision of comprehensive and timely portfolio reporting for purposes of management oversight.
  • Implementing the bank\'s credit risk strategy and credit risk appetite.
  • Implementing policies and procedures to identify, measure, monitor and control portfolio credit risk.
  • Working together with AVPs and Analysts to achieve the abovementioned objectives

Team Structure

  • The corporate credit risk team includes 1 MD (team head), 5 sector leads (DIR/VP), 5 AVPs and 2 Analysts.
  • Also includes 5 AVPs in Warsaw, focused on monitoring of existing exposure
  • This temporary replacement is for one of the 5 sector leads, focused on the TMT sector

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be

-An experienced credit risk management professional already working in a major commercial or investment bank.

-She or he is likely to have at least 6-8 years\' experience in credit risk management, with a focus on leveraged finance and/or investment grade corporate lending.

-We require strong analytical skills and familiarity with loan and ISDA documentation.

-Comfort presenting to senior management, liaising with internal and external (e.g. lawyers, regulators) clients is key.
