Fire Safety Risk Assessor

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing Health & Safety and Fire Safety Consultancy based in Wolverhampton. My client is a well-established business currently undergoing significant growth. They have an excellent reputation in the industry, demand high standards, and are passionate about saving lives, and livelihoods, rather than pushing products. This role would suit an experienced Fire Safety Risk Assessor, or a NEBOSH qualified individual with a desire to move into the fire safety sector, with a similar ethos and a desire to undertake work of which they can be proud.

There are good long term prospects for progression to a managerial, or even director level role, and continuous professional development and training is provided and encouraged.

The role will include:

* Completing site surveys for Fire Risk Assessments, Health & Safety Assessments, and for audit purposes

* Creating Method Statements

* Completing reports to high standard using MS Word and Excel - to include import of digital images into documents

* Provision of technical advice and practical solutions for clients

* Carrying out off-plan building appraisals

* All associated duties as required by the business

While based in Wolverhampton you will also be required to attend client sites throughout the Central region with occasional trips further afield throughout the UK. The starting salary will be £25K - £27K with an excellent mileage rate. Hours of work are 35 per week with 28 days holiday and a pension.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate MUST possess ALL of the following:

- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle

- NEBOSH General Certificate

- NEBOSH Fire Safety & Risk Management Certificate (or similar fire qualification)

- Proven experience in conducting Risk Assessments & Audits for Fire Safety and H&S

- Ability to compose well written reports using MS Word & Excel

- Ability to use digital technology to import images and photos

- A genuine passion about safety and saving lives

This role would suit an experienced: Fire Risk Assessor, Enforcing Officer, H&S Officer (with fire experience), Building Regulations Assessor, Responsible Person, or a Fire Fighter (with fire safety training).
