My client, a specialist Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Flood Risk, Drainage and Hydraulic Modelling, is searching for a Flood Risk Consultant to join a supportive Team based in Brighton.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline (including a HNC, FdSc, BSc and/or MSc in Hydrology, Civil or Environmental Engineering) and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Consequence Assessments and GIS Mapping.

Applicants are also required to have an interest in data analysis and Environmental Impact Assessments or Environmental Statements.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally or prepared to move to the local area.

This exciting opportunity will offer candidates the chance to join a fast paced Consultancy based in the heart of Brighton. As a Flood Risk Consultant you will have the opportunity to complete Pre-planning Projects for Residential Developments for Private Sector Clients, Private Developers, Insurance Companies and Local Authorities.

You will also be supported to complete Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Consequence Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Flood Risk Maps using ArcGIS, Data Analysis and Environmental Statements to support Environmental Impact Assessments.
