Flood Risk Engineer / Drainage Engineer required.
We have an exciting new vacancy for a Flood Risk Engineer / Drainage Engineer to join a leading organisation.
The Flood Risk Engineer / Drainage Engineer will undertake flood risk assessments and development / delivery of drainage designs.
Suitable applicants will need a good understanding and experience of surface and foul water drainage and familiarity with drainage strategies.
In return you will be offered a starting salary between £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience and excellent benefits package.
Job Role
* Undertaking a variety of projects at any one time;
* Attend design and site meetings;
* Development and delivery of foul and surface water drainage designs and strategies;
* Ensure bids submitted reflect client requirements and are prepared and submitted in compliance with company procedures;
* Contribute towards the development of high levels of drainage performance, reliability and quality;
* Undertake Flood Risk Assessments and demonstrate a thorough understanding of current assessment techniques;
* Produce technical reports efficiently and accurately;
* Demonstrate proficiency with the assessment, design and specification of highway, surface and foul water drainage systems for residential and commercial development proposals;
* Demonstrate proficiency with the design and specification of sustainable drainage systems to current design standards;
* Demonstrate a proficiency with the design and specification of both adoptable and private sewerage pumping stations;
* Contribute towards the preparation and submission of Section 98, 104 and 106 agreements;
* Disseminate knowledge to junior members of staff.
Requirements
* 3-5 Years post graduate experience within a similar field
* Qualified within a relevant subject such as Environmental, Water Management, orHydrology
* Good understanding and experience of surface and foul water drainage
* Familiar with Drainage Strategies - knowledge of SuDS, Flood Risk Assessments and Water Resource Strategies would be beneficial.
* The successful candidate will ideally have sound experience of S104, S106, S98, S185 applications
