Flood Risk Engineer

Our client is a design and build company providing maintenance and operational services across industrial, commercial and residential sewage treatment and floodwater projects. They are looking for a Flood Risk Engineer to work for them on a permanent basis. Preferred location is Truro, but would consider candidates in Bristol. This role will be initially 12 months, starting in August.

Our client offers scope, variety & development opportunities within the business. In addition, there are opportunities to work on a variety of projects from Commercial, Industrial & Housing developments to Water treatment works (WWTW).


The selected candidate will play a key role in our client's team of consulting engineers to provide Flood Risk Assessments and drainage designs for a broad range of developments across the country.

You will be responsible for flood information interpretation, modelling, drainage designs as well as project management of small to medium-scale schemes and client facing, you will deliver projects to meet and exceed client expectations. You will collaborate with other team members to progress projects from concept to construction and will have an opportunity to be involved in other areas of the UK business which may include site visits, scientific analysis, water sampling and more.


Intermediate level Flood Risk Engineer
Track record producing Flood Risk Assessments for private developments.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience of data management, processing, analysis and interpretation.
Degree Qualified.
Member of a relevant professional institution.
Understanding of flood risk principles.
Experience with Micro Drainage and HEC-RAS modelling software (advantageous).
Interest in drainage engineering.What our client offers:
