After having grown significantly and developed more and more partners in recent years, this incredible international development organisation is looking for a Governance, Risk & Assurance Advisor to join them on an initial 8 month basis. It's an exciting time to join this organisation, who focus on delivering sustainable solutions to development challenges, and this role will be a pivotal part of the team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Deep diving into the finance systems and key processes, including data testing and assessing potential risks
Assessing the results of your findings to provide assurance and make recommendations on issues identified
Documenting and implementing new VAT processes and controls
Assessing controls between Salesforce and the finance system
Reviewing the non-programme related payment process, implementing improvements

The successful candidate will have:

A full accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in relevant roles
Proven experience of designing and implementing end-to-end processes
Extensive experience of designing and implementing control frameworks, covering governance, business and financial risks
Knowledge of charity accounting and taxation requirements
