Head of Quality and Risk
£65,000 per annum + Car Allowance
Home based role with some national travel required

As our Head of Quality and Risk you'll be working in a senior role reporting to our Director of Quality and Improvement. You will lead across our organisation on Quality and Safety and play a key role in all our services through collaborative working with our Business Unit based Quality Team.

At Virgin care you'll join our supportive Quality team who work collaboratively to support our services achieve the highest standards of quality and safety.

As a Head of Quality and Risk you will hold a senior post providing clinical expertise and leadership, working closely with the operational teams and the corporate support functions. The role will be fundamental in driving forward our quality strategy and moving Virgin Care to an outcomes-based culture.

You will support the team in our journey to increase the number of services who are assessed by CQC as excellent and drive quality for patients, service users, colleagues and key stakeholders, enhancing our organisational reputation and championing collaborative partnerships between functional and operational colleagues. You will be able to ensure opportunities for learning and improvement are identified and supported.

To be successful for this opportunity you will be a registered practitioner with at least 5 years as a practising clinician post-qualification with at least 3 years' experience in primary or community care. You will have senior clinical leadership experience and excellent working knowledge of clinical governance and risk management systems, with the ability to apply principles to different environments. An excellent understanding of the requirements of the governing, professional and regulatory bodies and working with external monitoring bodies such as the CQC is also required.
