Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Engineer - Oxford

Our client is a highly-acclaimed water treatment company, who provide a wide range of water treatment, water hygiene and legionella services across the UK. They are currently seeking a focused and committed Legionella Risk Assessor/Water Hygiene Engineer to join their team based in and around the Oxford region. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their experience carrying out legionella risk assessments to varied site base, as well as, under-taking a range water hygiene compliance duties. Applications from Reading, Swindon, High Wycombe and the surrounding areas with good access to the M4 will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

Applicants will ideally have attended an approved Risk Assessment course such as City & Guilds.
Extensive experience in undertaking water treatment and ACOP L8 compliance duties to a varied site base.
Experience carrying out in depth legionella risk assessments.
An NVQ plumbing qualification and experience in remedial plumbing would be advantageous.
Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Will be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Role:

Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 risk assessments.
Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents for clients/customers.
Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through maintenance regimes, quotations and carrying out such works based on the risk assessments.
Monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
Carrying out survey of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
Collating and producing comprehensive reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports.
Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems, tanks clean, refurbishment & disinfections, etc.
Temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling, analysing water systems and interpreting the results.
Building and maintaining a good working relationship with clients.
