The Risk Management team is critical to Lloyd\'s achieving its long term aims by ensuring risks to the strategy are effectively identified, assessed and managed within risk appetites set by the Franchise Board.
The Role
To support the design and operation of the digital risk management framework to ensure risks to Lloyd\'s data and other digital assets are effectively identified, assessed and managed.
What Will You Do?

  • Provide oversight of key technology and cyber risks facing Lloyd\'s
  • Support the development, approval and monitoring of standards, policies and strategies for the management of cyber and information security risks across Lloyd\'s
  • Ensure agreed risk management and reporting processes are being adequately followed
  • Deliver processes which provide assurance to Chief Risk Officer, Programme Director, Risk Committee and Franchise Board on the technology / cyber risk profile of Lloyd\'s. Provide an independent \'second line\' opinion on technology and security risks and mitigations
  • Challenge relevant business areas on the appropriateness and effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies
  • Undertake periodic testing and review of key design and implementation decisions across the programme
  • Represent Lloyd\'s in relevant industry forums on cyber risk topics, including across the Lloyd\'s market
  • Proactively share information and support co-ordination on risk management projects related to cyber risk across Lloyd\'s
  • Provide advice, expertise and consulting to relevant stakeholders on cyber security risks across the Lloyd\'s market, including managing agents and with key outsource suppliers
What You\'ll Need
  • Experience in conducting cyber security risk assessments of changes, projects and programmes
  • Experience in providing recommendations to manage information security risk
  • Experience in managing the relationships with supplier / partners to assure levels of Security & Compliance capabilities are commensurate
  • Practical experience with deployment and/or operation of commonly used information security solutions
  • Experience in leading high performing teams to successful risk management outcomes
  • Experience in dealing with complex regulatory communication and negotiation
  • Experience in managing senior stakeholders including challenging or unsupportive stakeholders
  • Experience in managing challenging people management issues
  • Strong experience of risk management frameworks, tools and processes
  • Expert understanding of security policies, procedures and technologies, and standards including ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST and Cyber Essentials
  • Good understanding of operating systems (Unix, Windows Mac) and network security
  • Good understanding of application security, secure programming and OWASP top 10
  • Understanding of vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, encryption technologies, intrusion detection & incident response
  • Basic understanding of Cloud Computing and concepts
  • Expert knowledge of risk management and Solvency II requirements
  • Strong understanding of capital modelling / management
  • Good understanding of the insurance industry and the Lloyd\'s market
  • Strong understanding and confidence in utilising leadership and management skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship skills to build relationships with a range of senior stakeholders and in particular with the IT team and the PRA and FCA. This will include an ability to actively influence at Executive and Board levels with a confidence to deliver the right risk outcomes at senior levels of the organisation.
  • Very strong technical risk management skills are required to be able to define and shape industry leading risk management tools which are tailored to the unique Lloyd\'s business model as well as satisfying regulatory requirements.
  • The successful candidate should have excellent analytical skills and be able to effectively communicate (in both written and verbal forms) and engage in debate on complex topics. Evidence of influencing outcomes with senior management in both formal (e.g. committee) and informal settings is critical
  • Time management skills used to working to deadlines and under a certain amount of pressure. Ability to maintain effective personal workload plans that are achievable, prioritised appropriately and meet business objectives.
  • Team working should be used to working as part of a team, making effective contributions to team meetings and team initiatives and also be able to take ownership of tasks and projects whilst often working remotely and without supervision
  • Numerate/strong analytical skills this role is focussed on the Lloyd\'s Internal Model therefore the ability to apply technical knowledge in a wide variety of situation in both written and oral form, to assess sometimes complex, intricate and lengthy information and reach appropriate conclusions.
  • Challenge ability to productively challenge technical experts across Lloyd\'s and be robust/resilient under scrutiny
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills the role will involve a large amount of engagement with stakeholders at various levels across the Corporation, including the production of analysis reports which must be clear, accurate and easily accessible to both technical experts and those with a more general understanding of risk management.
  • Strong project management skills to lead and deliver change within areas of responsibility (for example following changes in the regulatory environment)
