Job purpose

To conduct analysis and produce and deliver reports and dashboards in support of the complaints function, and Conduct Risk strategy. Providing accurate management information and insights and identifying any opportunities for improving complaints handling or conduct risk-related processes.

Ensure effective utilisation of internal and external data sources and identify opportunities to improve and streamline analysis and reporting processes.

This is a critical role in the provision of analysis and reporting across the business. This includes supporting key regulatory reporting requirements on complaints handling and conduct risk. Complaints handling and conduct risk are areas of high regulatory focus, and therefore the quality and accuracy of the analysis and reporting conducted is very important to minimise the risk of regulatory censure and/or potentially adverse publicity.

This is where you come in.

  • Provide regular reporting, analysis and ad hoc deep dive interrogation on complaints and conduct risk.
  • Maintain a calendar of all key required complaints and conduct risk reporting, including regulatory reporting, and proactively manage competing priorities to ensure reporting deadlines are met.
  • Provide interpretation and insight on complaints and conduct risk data and reporting, helping management to identify key issues, trends, and opportunities to improve processes.
  • Manage and interrogate data from across systems, external sources and arrangements with third parties (e.g. coverholders and TPAs) to maximise the accuracy and usefulness of the analysis and reporting provided.
  • Ensure that personal and sensitive data is managed in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, and in accordance with policies.
  • Enhance reporting processes wherever possible, to maximise the efficient production of accurate data.

What we are looking for:

Although the role falls within the Complaints function, its focus extends to all areas of the business in terms of the company's conduct risk obligations. A key element of the role will be the ability to combine data from different sources and functions, to present that clearly and to provide interpretation and insight in addition to reporting.

  • A good knowledge of complaints handling processes and regulatory requirements
  • A good knowledge of conduct risk-related regulatory requirements
  • Insurance market, ideally Lloyd's-related, knowledge
  • Research



With the implementation of the SM&CR (Senior Managers & Certification Regime), the Financial Services and Markets Act gave the FCA new powers to write conduct rules and apply them to all employees within a firm. The Conduct Rules set basic standards of good personal conduct and the role holder will also be expected to perform these to the highest of standards and in accordance with the Conduct Rules as specified by the FCA, as follows:
