Operational Risk Analyst - Control Issue Management FTC

We have an exciting opportunity to join a growing team where you\'ll be supporting the Controls Office in the logging, tracking / monitoring, reporting, and escalation of Control Issues such as Internal Audit recommendations, Compliance Monitoring actions, S-Ox deficiencies.

What you\'ll be doing

  • Ensuring Control Issues are centrally logged, maintaining a central view / track of all open Control Issues such, Internal Audit recommendations.
  • Reviewing and validating of action plans established by business areas.
  • Ensuring adequate updates are received from Action Owners.
  • Measuring, challenging, and reporting on the effectiveness of Action Plans and progress on key control issues;
  • Recording of the on-going status of Action Plans and the status of Control Issue remediation, including focused work on those reporting as past-due.
  • Requesting and managing updates from Internal Control Functions including Compliance Team, Financial Control and Internal Audit.

What we\'re looking for

  • An understanding of the business and financial services industry.
  • Overall theoretical understanding of Operational Risk.
  • Familiarity with the relevant departmental and company-wide procedures, policies, and guidelines.
  • Computer literacy and a good knowledge of relevant software, ideally with knowledge and understanding of Heracles or similar SAP based applications.
  • Proven stakeholder interaction and communication skills.

What else you need to know

Given the recent impact of the Coronavirus outbreak we will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.

This role will be based in our offices at Milton Keynes.
