Principal Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer- York

My client, a market leading multidisciplinary Engineering and Planning Consultancy, is searching for an experienced Principal Consultant to join the Team based in York.

It is essential that applicants are chartered or close to achieving chartered status and have experience managing and completing Flood Risk and Drainage Projects for Public and/or Private Sector Clients and Housing Developers.

Applicants are also required to have experience checking and completing technical work including Flood Risk Assessment, Surface Water Management Plans and Drainage Strategies for Planning Applications.

Candidates are also required to have experience completing detailed Drainage Design for residential developments using Microdrainage and ideally Causeway Flow.

As a Principal Consultant you will be required to provide technical advice to the team and complete, review and amend Flood Risk Assessments, Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller, Drainage Strategies for Planning Applications and detailed SuDS design using Microdrainage.

You will also be required to manage varied Flood Risk, Drainage and Pre-Planning Projects. You will liaise with Private Sector Clients, Housing Developers and Local Authorities ensuring Projects are completed to time and budget.
