What You'll be Doing Each Day:

This role is part of the Project Management Office (PMO) based within Operational Risk in the Risk Management department, which is responsible for designing and delivering change for the organisation. The key objective of the PMO team is to promote best project management practices and knowledge that enables the Bank to better manage and deliver its projects. The role of PMO Associate is to assist with project governance, reporting & planning for the team and the projects through to completion, reporting on the progress to senior management (including deliverables, risks and issues) throughout the duration of the project. The role involves assisting and contributing to the key PMO functions such as RAID, budgeting & change control.

Your Essential Responsibilities:

* Identify and track dependencies within and across each workstream

* Identify key risks and issues impacting the overall deliverable; recommend corrective actions and tracking/reporting of status

* Develop and maintain strong and credible working relationships with senior staff and other key business stakeholders

* Produce and deliver executive reporting at various levels

* Help implement relevant systems and tools to support the delivery of work for the PMO

* Provide and organise quality assurance reviews and health checks to ensure work is being undertaken to a sufficiently high standard

* Work with Finance to manage fees and billing, whilst maintaining and updating the budget throughout the financial year and providing actual/forecast data to support management decision making

* Track project timelines and team's progress against deadlines

* As part of the PMO function, may also support additional projects / assignments as required

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

* Project Management experience

* Experience in project tooling, such as Smartsheet, MS Project or an equivalent

* Have a strong commercial acumen and understanding of business cases

* Ideally educated to degree level, though not a necessity for the right candidate

* Proven track record of working collaboratively in a team environment

* Strong MS Office skills

* Experience within a financial institution ideally but not essential

* High attention to detail

* Methodical, organised and structured approach

* Proactive in resolving issues

* Deadline orientated

* Strong communication and presentation skills

* Ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships with senior managers

Job status: Perm

Start date: ASAP

Working hours: 9-5 with flexibility.
