Real Estate Investment Risk Manager/Analyst (6-month FTC) Aviva Investors 6-month Fixed Term Contract Aviva Investors are currently looking for a temporary Real Estate Investment Risk Manager/Analyst to join our Risk & Compliance Function in London until the end of the year The Role Based in our Head office in the City of London you will be a member of the Aviva Investors (AI) second line investment & credit risk team within the Chief Risk Officer\'s function. You will provide support to the Credit & Real Assets Investment Risk Team in developing, implementing and managing the AI Credit & Investment Risk Framework, Policies, Risk Appetite Statements and Key Risk Indicators in conjunction with AI\'s strategic and business objectives.The main risks covered by the role are arising from and/or associated with AI\'s Real Estate business. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day portfolio risk oversight in relation to Real Estate and Long Income funds managed by Aviva Investors.Identify and raise in a timely manner material risks across the Real Estate and Long Income business arising from existing individual transactions, portfolio construction, portfolio stress testing and collaboration with fund managers, asset managers and analysts.Prepare investment risk packs for the purposes of the portfolio risk meetings and participate in such meetings as and when required.Contribute to the preparation of regular monthly and quarterly reports.Collaborate with the origination, asset management, fund management and analyst teams to efficiently achieve all of the above.Ensure adherence to AI\'s Credit Risk Management Frameworks / Appetite Statements / Policies / Standards as well as the relevant Aviva Group provisions.Participate in ad-hoc tasks and projects that require quick problem-solving solutions.Potential to get exposure to the management of credit risk which is covered by the same team, other asset classes in addition to Real Estate and projects across the wider investment risk team.Key Performance Indicators Timeliness and appropriateness of investment & credit risk issues identified, escalated and managed.Timeliness and efficiency of investment risk packs and reports.Satisfactory collaboration with people across various business lines and functions.Feedback from Risk Managers and key stakeholders.Risk / Compliance / Governance Reporting and escalating operational, financial and regulatory risk issues as identified.Competence Standards and GovernanceMaking sure that risk packs and reports are of high quality and efficiently present risk issues. Requirements Essential: Real Estate investment and / or investment risk experience gained in another asset manager or another financial institution.Proficient knowledge of excel.Good knowledge of other MS Office applications such as Word and PowerPoint.Educated to Degree levelHighly Desirable: Professional qualifications in Accounting / Banking / Finance / Business such as ACA/ACCA, IMC, CFA.Strong oral and written communication skills.Flexibility, versatility and adaptability.
