Aviva UK is now looking for a Regional Risk & Capability Manager (RRCM) supporting across our Regional Trading Centres (RTCs) within Aviva\'s Regional Speciality Lines team.This position is multifaceted in Aviva. The role-holder will be responsible for building capability by leading the learning and development, along with supporting the delivery of effective risk and governance frameworks and contributing to an environment of continuous improvement for both our people and our systems/processes - acting as a \'conscience\' to the RTC Senior Leadership Team.We see this as a key, exciting and influential role within an encouraging and resourceful team that will allow for significant interaction with seniors across our business and the scope to effect real change in Aviva, the UK\'s largest insurer.Aviva introduced \"smart-working\" in 2020, and the person in this role can be home-based anywhere in the UK, as long as they are comfortable travelling to our Aviva offices quarterly.The role\'s duties & responsibilities:Reporting & measuring of key underwriting governance themes - embedding underwriting governance and risk frameworks within RTCsOperating as a key regional liaison point for our Underwriting Authority (UA) team, L&D Business Managers, Training Consultants and professional bodies (e.g. CII)Working with the regional leadership teams on regional capability plans to service the current and future demands, and improving capability licence achievementLeading the continued capability development of all roles within the RTCs, maintaining a regional Learning & Development forumPlanning, co-ordinating and ensuring delivery of training (underwriting, behaviours, systems and leadership)Operating with other RRCMs to build an effective UK network for risk, capability, governance and system integrity, to improve effective delivery of workshops and sharing best practiceSkills & experiences required: Proven ability to provide consultancy and coaching to embed capability and risk & governance frameworksTrack record of planning and organising with effective communication across levels/seniority while delivering to demanding timescalesConfidence and passion in managing internal business relationships - getting buy-in from managers at all levelsCommercial awareness on underwriting principles and practiceCII Diploma or similar advanced diplomaA professional interest in prioritising business/customer focusWould be nice to see experience in mentoring and implementing changeWhat will you get for this role?A salary up to £45,000 depending on location, skills, experience and qualificationsGenerous defined contribution pension schemeAnnual performance related bonus and pay reviewHoliday allowance of 29 days plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional daysUp to 40% discount for some Aviva products through \"My Aviva Extras\" plus discounts for Friends and Family (some exclusions apply)Excellent range of flexible benefits to include a matching share save schemeWorking at AvivaAt Aviva, we\'re people with a purpose.
