About the role

Here at Rooftop Housing, we are now looking for a Risk and Assurance Officer to support the Head of Risk and Assurance in maintaining an effective risk and controls assurance framework across of all aspects of the Group's business.

Assisting the Head of Risk and Assurance in providing the Executive Team and Board with assurance on regulatory compliance across the Group, you will take responsibility for gathering information for the quarterly risk update report and act as a Business Partner to the Executive Team and Leadership Team to review early warning indicators and risk appetite metrics. You will develop and maintain a controls assurance register to monitor the effectiveness of the internal controls across all three lines of defence. You will also have responsibility for facilitating internal audit visits and coordinating an annual insurance renewal process for the Group.

About you

We're looking for an individual who is educated to A Level standard as a minimum and who has proven experience of working to tight timescales. You'll have excellent listening and communication skills and the confidence to form effective working relationships with a broad range of people. We'd also like you to have a strong customer focus, the ability to grasp new areas of responsibility quickly and the ability to draw accurate and informative conclusions from detailed information without losing sight of the bigger picture.

Experience of working in a similar role would be beneficial, as would experience of the principles of risk management. A professional qualification such as a Degree is highly desirable, as is a certification for the Institute of Risk Management, however this is not essential.

Standard disclosure and barring service (DBS) check is required in accordance with the anti-money laundering policy.
