Kennedys is looking for a Risk & Compliance Executive to assist the Risk & Compliance team on a wide variety of tasks including internal file audits of legal and insurance claims, drafting and overseeing internal processes and procedures, advising on conduct and regulatory matters, assisting with due diligence for tender enquiries, complaints and conflicts investigation, as well as the management of information barriers.

Team

Kennedys Risk & Compliance team handles a wide range of partnership and risk and compliance issues for the Firm and acts an in-house legal department assisting with regulatory and professional conduct enquiries.

The team is based in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and resolve escalated conflicts of interest
  • Provide advice and assistance to the firm in relation to conduct and regulatory matters
  • Assist with any general internal queries relating to tenders, policies, procedures or insurance details for example
  • Investigate and respond to claims and complaints
  • Assist with internal projects
  • Ensure that the content of the R&C intranet page remains accurate and up to date.

Required experience

  • Strong academics (A Levels, degree or equivalent)
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Previous experience working in the risk and compliance department of a UK law firm or general compliance and regulatory experience gained within the UK insurance or financial industry
  • Previous experience of SRA, AML and FCA compliance requirements, drafting policy and guidance documents, process auditing
  • Experience of IntApp Conflicts or Intake systems would be a distinct advantage.
