Risk & Value Manager - York - 6 Months - £(Apply online only)/day

We are currently recruiting for Risk & Value Manager to work for a major Rail client. You will support a major programme of works to deliver critical UK assets. A background in Rail or infrastructure would be ideal. This contract role is for an initial 6 months, you will be working in the York office after Covid restrictions. The rate is £450/day on an umbrella basis or up to £342.55 PAYE.

Key Accountabilities:

*Deliver Risk & Value Management specialist support services in accordance with Risk & Value Plans.
*Provide guidance at all levels on the application of risk management process and formal requirements for corporate governance.
*Maintain the Corporate risk register and ensure quarterly review of Corporate Risks; reporting in line with formal requirements for effective internal control.
*Monitor quarterly review of Divisional risks; ensuring quality and consistency of approach across the business; ensure risks and their potential impact are accurately defined and assessed; and that appropriate mitigation plans are actively managed and reviewed for effectiveness.
*Work with Programme Office to improve quality of Project and Programme Risk Management activity.
*Ensure two- way communication of key risks to inform business decision making. Facilitate risk identification workshops as required to assist identification of business risk.
*Provide guidance and support to planning officers in their role as divisional risk-coordinator.
*Identify Risk Management skills gaps for identified individuals and facilitate appropriate training.
*Experienced in undertaking project risk management on large complex, multidisciplinary rail projects.
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
*Expert in all aspects of project and business risk management facilitation.
*Able to build risk models in a number of applications, which accurately represent the complexities of cost, schedule and business risk.
*Able to coach and challenge management and non-specialists, the results of risk management.
*Membership of the Institute of Risk Management or Association for Project Management Risk Practitioner.
*Experienced in Quantitative Schedule and Cost Risk Assessments and probabilistic modelling using packages like PRA and Safran
