Risk Intelligence Analyst

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Risk Intelligence Analyst to join our Safety and Quality Assurance division within EMCOR UK.

Job Purpose:

* Collaborate with the HoRA, to execute a comprehensive risk assurance agenda implementing best practice operating systems and establishing a preventative and investigative methodology drawing upon practical practioner based experience.

* Advise the HoRA of key areas of risk arising from statistical analysis from risk intelligence data extracted from all WSA systems.

* Coordinate the development of a vision and mission for Risk Intelligence based approach to Safety for EMCOR UK in accordance with the organisation's adoption of the Global Goals and emerging ISO standards.

* Collaborate with the HoRA and execute the implementation of a risk register on each account within EMCOR UK.

* Advise upon the organisational direction for Risk Intelligence and investigative based interventions linked to behaviour for all employees, supply chain and other stakeholders as appropriate.

* Support the implementation of a robust process for BCP across the EMCOR UK portfolio drawing on support from the Safety Operations Team to test effectiveness and execution of the plan.

Person Specification:

* Practical analytical and specific related IT experience (PowerBI or equivalent analytical software, incident reporting software)

* Membership with relevant professional body

* Degree/ Level 7 qualification or equivalent in Human Factors, Ergonomics (or similar risk intelligence related topic)

* A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of aspects of safety, and risk management.

* A comprehensive knowledge of current Safety issues legislation, management and standards

* Ability to forensically interpret and provide authoritative advice and recommendations on risk and incident investigation management issues

* Knowledge of workplace risk intelligence initiatives and how they add value to an organisation

* Excellent communication skills - capable of influencing peers in identified departments with experience in doing so in other organisations.

* Analysis and reporting, with the ability to structure analysis into meaningful supportive data to drive solution proposals. Extracting and effectively applying leading and lagging data to support the safety and health agendas.

* Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and standards.

* Experience in the development of risk-based policies strategies, management systems and controls that have been successful in improving general health and productivity.

* Experience of informing businesses in good practice Safety management based upon learning from experience through thorough incident investigation.


* Ability to organise workload effectively for the purpose of meeting deadlines

* Ability to demonstrate flexibility /versatility combined with initiative, drive and ability to meet deadlines

* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a wide variety of contacts

* Ability to work autonomously and flexibly, responding to business needs

* Investigative pedigree and strong report writing capabilities
