Risk Lead

Description:

The Risk Lead will be responsible for embedding the AMP7 risk process for the Waste portfolio by acting as support and advisory on all risk management activities for the portfolio. You will be responsible for the training and advisory on the risk system and risk process, ensuring that all users are appropriately trained and coached.

The scope of the role is ensure that all risks are recorded and reported within the Capital Programme within the project and tranche level of the risk hierarchy. You will ensure that risk insights are fed back and recorded at the appropriate level via the escalation process.

Overall you will be responsible for embedding risk management capability across the Waste portfolio that will assist with strategic decision making. To be successful in the role you will have practical experience of risk management, including demonstrable knowledge in managing the risk associated with capital programmes.

Having a professional Qualification or being a professional member of the IRM or APM would be advantageous. You will have strong and effective report writing and presentational skills and have a strong knowledge of risk management within a project controls environment. You will possess effective managerial skills to be self-motivated with the ability to prioritise your own workload. You will be able to interpret and communicate risk reports, ensuring the most effective communication approach is taken and provide guidance and create risk architecture based on knowledge and experience to deliver strategic, programme and project objectives.

(a background in infrastructure including construction, rail or water would be an advantage - RISK PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL)
