Exciting opportunity to join a leading Regulatory body, based in Manchester City Centre.This role would suit a personable, confident, forward thinker.

Reporting to the Head of Business Planning and Reporting you will work closely with the Assistant Director of Audit and Risk Assurance to enable the effective operation of the companies risk management framework. This will include training, coaching and advice to staff, supporting key processes and systems for managing risks and opportunities including the Corporate Opportunities and Risk Register, and providing centralised reporting.

You will work closely as part of a cross-organisational team that supports the effective and efficient design and implementation of the companies work programme through a three-year planning and budgeting horizon.

Main responsibilities
1 To maintain the risk management framework, identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement. This includes acting as a source of advice to Senior Management on emergent trends from threat and opportunity management practices within the business and across the broader health and regulatory environment.
2 To maintain reporting of risks and opportunities through written reports and verbal presentations to the Senior Management Team, Audit and Risk Committee and Council. This includes supporting risk and opportunity escalation processes to a Corporate level and supporting the routine review and quality assurance of identified risks and opportunities across the business.

3 To act as a local source of expertise on risk and opportunity management for staff:
a Raising awareness with staff of their responsibilities under the risk management framework and delivering training and coaching to support best practice.
b Testing risk practices and targeting interventions accordingly.
c Sharing and helping embed learning across the organisation from past experiences including, but not limited to, internal audit findings and significant event reviews
4 To work closely as part of a cross-organisational team that supports the effective and efficient design and implementation of the work programme through a three-year planning and budgeting horizon. Ensuring risk is effectively considered as part of planning and used to help shape the optimal approach for delivery.
5 To provide effective and inclusive management and leadership to a team supporting their personal development and helping to develop their skills and knowledge in line with the Directorate\'s work and values.
6 Creating an environment that nurtures and empowers staff to work autonomously and make decisions, including trying out new approaches, and can fulfil their full potential.
7 Creating an inclusive environment, ensuring equality and diversity is considered in policy and practices relevant to the role.
8 Applying the relevant management systems, procedures and policies relating to staff management, staff wellbeing, risk management, health and safety, information security.
