Risk Manager - Manufacturing - £50k - £65k

Experienced Risk Manager looking for something with a bit more flexibility?
We're working with a Medical Device Manufacturer who are looking to add to their team following a year of amazing growth (100% increase in headcount over the last year!)

The role offers flexible/remote working (in the office 2/3 days per week) with the option of working from either Bath or Chepstow when you do need to go into the office.

You'll become the champion of the Risk Process in the business, using your business partnering skills to ensure everyone's up to speed with the when, why and where's.

The business is involved in the design and manufacture of a range of Class 1 medical devices (software safety class C / FDA category 'major level of concern') and so you will have proven experience of working in this environment centred on BS EN ISO 14971, and all other applicable regulatory/quality standards.

The role will involve:

• Conducting assessments to define and analyse possible risks
• Evaluate the gravity of each risk by considering its consequences
• Audit processes and procedures
• Develop risk management controls and systems
• Design processes to eliminate or mitigate potential risks
• Create contingency plans to manage crises
• Evaluate existing policies and procedures to find weaknesses
• Prepare reports and present recommendations
• Help implement solutions and plans
• Evaluate employees' risk awareness and train them when necessary

Key skills and competencies:

• Degree educated
• Industry recognised Risk Management Practitioner / Qualification
• Surgical Engineering background
• Regulatory/Standards experience
• Can work alone and within a team
• Confident of ground, but not slavish
• Methodical, attention to detail
• Can create/set process, not just follow existing process
• Ability to fit in and make a difference from the start
