Defour Partnership is working closely with their client who is one of the leading Social Care charities in the UK, providing care and support to thousands of people across England and Scotland.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Risk Manager to join our charity, to develop, maintain and promote the information risk and resilience components of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), including risk appetites, emerging risks and incident capture and analysis.

The successful candidate will support operational teams and support services in consistently applying the RMF to identify, assess, manage, monitor and report all material risks using appropriate tools (e.g. risk registers). You will support the effective operation of technical and risk committees, operating to the 'three lines of defence risk management model'. Providing second line oversight which will include close engagement, challenge at relevant RBU meetings, team meetings and committees, as well as on project boards which deal with related content.

Working with the Clinical Governance Team on the management of clinical risk, and the delivery of effective clinical risk management processes for the Charity, in order to improve safety of the people we support and the safety of clinical practice.

About the candidate

The successful candidate will be educated to Degree level or equivalent, with a proven track record in Risk Management along with specialist knowledge of Risk and Assurance. You must have experience and knowledge of current CQC and CI regulations, frameworks, inspection process, legislation and possess previous experience carrying out regulated activity audits or inspections. Keeping the needs of the people we support at the forefront, possessing knowledge of Human Rights and Equality legislation, personalisation and inclusion agendas is required.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who holds a risk management qualification e.g., Institute of Risk Management or has relevant experience. You will be truly passionate about risk management and you will possess a can-do attitude in order to promote change and drive the business forward.

You will possess excellent written, oral, presentation and communication skills as well as the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

This is home based role with travel expected.
