Due to continued growth of Arrow Global we are looking for an experienced Risk Officer. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to advance their career within an expanding financial services business. The Risk Officer (UK) is responsible for the provision of oversight and challenge to the 1st line of defence within AGUK Business, including the control environment within 3rd party service providers

The role will provide key Risk partnering to support the adherence and embedding of the Group's Enterprise Risk Management framework within the agreed designated area, working closely with UK Senior Leadership Managers and their teams to provide the monitoring and oversight of risk and issues identified.

The role will be based at our Glasgow office combined with home working. Due to the current Pandemic this will initially be a home-based role.

What will you be doing?

Act as the designated Risk Partner on overseeing risk events and incidents raised across the UK Business ensuring timely capture, adequate actions plans in place to address, management, escalation and reporting

Facilitate, support and oversight RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment) across the UK Business ensuring risks captured are adequately controlled and actions being managed through appropriate governance and risk appetite

Review and oversight UK policy and procedures to ensure adequate and fit for purpose

Produce consistent and high-quality risk management reports to support risk committees and internal governance meetings and provide key support to such committees

Support analyse of all Risk MI including root cause effects; highlight the materiality of outputs based on the Group's Risk assessment matrix

Assist the development and monitoring of Operational risk appetite

Monitor for emerging risks and external events which are relevant to UK Business operational risk profile, recording and analysing as appropriate

Maintain and updating operational risk loss monitoring and reporting

Support risk management training and development activities

Positively influence the risk awareness and culture across the Group through appropriate engagement, communication and coaching at all levels

Work collaboratively with Group Risk, Internal Audit and build strong stakeholder relationships

Is this you?

Track record of operational risk framework experience with in-depth understanding of regulatory requirements, industry practices and working in regulated environment

Experience in financial services within Collections and Recoveries environment

Analytical and logical but with broad business experience and therefore the ability to manage risk within a commercial context

Experience in building/creating risk analytics, dashboards and reporting

Able to manage and prioritise own workloads effectively

Strong communication, influencing skills and confident in communicating with stakeholders both internal and external both written and verbal

Good knowledge and use of Microsoft packages, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint & Word

Excellent problem-solving and presentation skills

Risk qualification desirable (gained or working towards)
