Risk Planning Manager

We are looking for you to join us as an Emergency Services Planning Manager working for us, based at a large social media company in London.

As an Emergency Services Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of various Emergency Services programs and projects. This position works with the Global Emergency Services team, conducting planning initiatives, administrative duties, document development and tracking, and emergency plan analysis.

The Emergency Services Planning Manager will provide strong support to the Security Services team by assisting in the enhancement of response capability, supporting the professional functions to ensure the effective execution of planning initiatives, exercises, training, data tracking, and related deliverables in alignment with Emergency Management principles. The Emergency Services Planning Manager should always be willing to help others and ensure that they feel welcome, safe & secure.

Main Duties:

* Prepares, processes, or supervises the processing of pertinent planning documents such as Emergency Operations Plans (EOP), Emergency Action Plans (EAP), Hazard specific Response Action Plans (RAP), Incident Action Plans (IAP), Event Action Plans, Operational Plans, After Action Reports (AAR), Corrective Action Plans (CAP), and any other Emergency Management planning document.

* Coordinates the collaboration of XFN teams in the development of all Emergency Management plans.

* Ensures the alignment of the client's Emergency Management plans with external partners.

* Prepares, processes, and supervises the processing of SOPs, contracts, and requests for proposals.

* Manages the administrative and business management functions of Emergency Services, including the development and tracking of policies and procedures, creation of documents, analysis of specifications, and purchasing of emergency equipment and resources.

* Conducts independent research, studies, and identifies problems, and effectively recommends action.

* Supports testing and evaluation of emergency management plans and equipment in accordance with government regulations.

* Supports development of operational plans, develops and facilitates tabletop and functional exercises and records measurable outcomes and corrective action plans.

* Identifies operational efficiencies while documenting content and communicating areas of improvement within the process to subject matter experts (SMEs) and Managers.

* Creates sustainable communication themes in conjunction with systematic routines, processes and preparedness activities for the client to execute consistently.

* Keeps informed of activities or changes that could affect the likelihood of an emergency, as well as those that could affect response efforts and details of plan implementation

Shifts/Hours: Permanent, Full-time, Monday - Friday, 45 hours per week
Salary: £60,069 pa

Essential Skills

* Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) or equivalent certification

* SIA Licence

* First Aid at Work certificate

* 8-10 or more years of experience in a related field (emergency management, crisis management)

* A background of combined safety and security experience, including corporate security and safety

* Expertise in emergency management, planning, training and knowledge of corporate security and public safety best practices.

* Experience working in or with public safety agencies.

* Experience with emergency building evacuation.

* Ability to develop and execute presentations.

* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.

* Analytical mindset and an ability to understand and learn the organizational infrastructure and internal needs and help define and drive processes.

* Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with tight deadlines and take ownership of writing tasks from start to finish without management oversight.

* Strategic mindset and the ability to think a few steps ahead in terms of servicing the partner teams and aligning strategic priorities with tactical ones.

* Ability and desire to collaborate and work with cross-functional stakeholders across different time zones

* Effective interpersonal and communication skills to influence operational changes, drive collaboration and maximize adoption of new ideas, tools and practice.
