Safety, Risk and Assurance Manager - Aviation.

Opportunity for an experienced and motivated aviation Safety, Risk and Assurance Manager to play a critical role with this established global company, specialising in aviation support. Based in Farnborough, you will report to the Accountable Manager and will act to ensure all UK maintenance, repair and modification activities are conducted according to relevant legislation and regulations. Acting as the key point of contact for the risk management and assurance department, this role includes taking ownership of the Safety Management System which encompasses safety aspects of flight operations. Prior experience working in flight ops is, therefore, essential to effectively meet the demands of this role.

Maintaining and monitoring compliance with OROR.GEN.200, you will take the lead in fostering an organisational environment that strives for optimal safety performance. Your tasks will include:

Implementation of risk management processes that are aligned with the strategic objectives of the business.

Liaising with the Leadership and Management teams to identify, assess and evaluate risks.

Acting as the link between internal and external stakeholders, regulatory and legislative bodies, building relationships and ensuring effective communication between external bodies and the core business.

Supporting colleagues to build risk awareness, providing training as appropriate.

Ensuring policies and standards are upheld through collaboration with operational teams and central.

Maintaining, updating and reporting risks in an appropriate way to a wide range of audiences

Be the pivotal point of contact for coordination and consultation of incident investigations, safety performance indicators (SPI), analysis of trends and maintenance of risk registers. Collating data and producing reports to disseminate relevant data, including monthly update of a performance dashboard for SPI\'s.

Identifying, recording and monitoring mitigating actions to ensure their timely completion.

You will have senior level experience, preferably in a similar aviation safety risk management role, that demonstrates an ability to instigate an efficient, cost effective and robust risk programme for a large business. An ability to work without direct assistance, excellent organisational skill and an ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience are also important skills for this role.
