Description:

Our client a London based Bank are looking to hire an experienced Scala Engineer onto a project within its Risk Analytics business.

You will be interacting with both Quant and Products teams on FRTB and Libor which will involve a Compute Grid and Risk & PnL stack.

Candidates will need:

• Strong commercial Scala development experience or Java if you are happy to work on Scala systems
• Experience with the JVM
• Akka experience is highly beneficial
• Strong commercial experience working on Spark and the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Apache Hive)
• Background working on complex distributed systems
• An understanding of Kafka fundamentals
