The Risk Management team is critical to Lloyd\'s achieving its long term aims by ensuring risks to the strategy are effectively identified, assessed and managed within risk appetites set by the Franchise Board.
The Role
Contribute to the design and operation of the risk management framework for Lloyd\'s international operations and overseas network to ensure risks to Lloyd\'s are effectively identified, assessed and managed.
What Will You Do?
To lead, or contribute to as part of the team, the following:

  • The design and implemention of an effective and proportionate risk management approach within Lloyd\'s international operations and overseas network
  • Ensuring Lloyd\'s continues to meet the expectations of UK and international regulators with respect to international risk oversight
  • Providing advice and support to overseas operations in the effective resolution of risks and issues
  • Co-ordinating relevant risk management reporting processes across the overseas network
  • Sharing and promoting best practices in risk management across the overseas network
  • Providing robust and commercial challenge and oversight to the risks being taken within the overseas network to ensure Lloyd\'s operates within risk appetite
  • Escalating issues and provide assurance to relevant governance forums that risks are being managed effectively or propose action where required to bring risk to acceptable levels
  • Tracking actions and conduct post-event/incident follow up and remediation
  • Production of clear and concise papers and manangement information to support risk oversight and monitoring by senior management
What You\'ll Need
  • Strong knowledge of risk management
  • Knowledge of the international regulatory environment, regimes and requirements is advantageous
  • Good understanding of the insurance industry and the Lloyd\'s market
  • Experience in the design, implementation and management of effective risk management frameworks
  • Experience of stakeholder management
  • Experience working on complex projects and initiatives
  • Experience in regulatory and government liaison and influence is advantageous
  • Experience in legislative/ regulatory analysis is advantageous
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship skills to build relationships with a range of senior stakeholders and in particular across the overseas network.
  • Enhanced negotiation and interpersonal skills the ability to manage a diverse range of priorities and tasks and difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a professional team.
  • Clear and concise verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to apply a logical approach.
  • A flexible approach to work assignments and the ability to cope with change in a positive and constructive manner.
  • A good \"risk radar\" and effective detection/risk escalation strategies.
  • Strong project management skills to deliver change within areas of responsibility (for example following a change in the regulatory environment)
