About the Opportunity

Studio Retail is undergoing a significant digital transformation plan to maintain our position as a market leading value retailer. We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Credit Risk Manager to drive, lead and manage Studio's overall account management and Collections & Recoveries strategies, optimising profitability, improving strategy and system performance, delivering the FS and Studio strategic goals & targets, ensuring adherence to all compliance, governance & quality standards and expectations.

As Senior Credit Risk Manager you will be:

* Leading, driving and managing the effective delivery of account management and collection strategies and systems to optimise profitability, aligned to and supporting the delivery of the overall Credit Risk strategy

* Leading, managing and monitoring the commercial and effective performance account management and collection strategies, identifying and maximising opportunities that add value to the FS strategy delivery

* Leading, managing and developing the performance and potential of the team

* Leading and driving adherence to all governance, risk and compliance standards across team, ensuring strategies deliver the best outcomes for customers and the business

* Leading and managing internal and external relationships that add value to the business in the short, medium and long term aligned to the overall FS strategy and business needs

* Providing continuous improvement support, ensuring that associated change projects are landed successfully in the team/department

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have:

* Experience of working within the retail, financial services sector

* Experience of leading and managing credit risk strategy development

* Extensive experience of working and delivering in a regulated environment

* Excellent working knowledge of financial standards and guidelines - e.g. FCA, TCF, GDPR

* Is delivery and customer focussed

* Experience of leading, managing and maximising the performance of others

* Ability to plan and prioritise effectively to meet changing priorities and demands

* Ability to interpret data and information to highlight opportunities and minimise risk

* Experience of account management and collection risk management and prevention

* Excellent communication and engagement skills

* Proven track record in effective facilitation and communication at multiple levels

* Is commercially astute

* Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at an appropriate level

* Is analytical, pragmatic and systematic in approach to problem solving and maximising opportunities

* Ability to manage conflict and knows when to escalate
