The Company:

My client\'s Service & Maintenance department has grown rapidly over the past two years during which time they have achieved UKAS Accreditation (ISO (phone number removed) Inspection body) for their Legionella Risk Assessments. In order to complement and underpin their progress, they are now looking for a Senior Legionella Risk Assessor to join the team.

The role:

As Legionella Risk Assessor you will be responsible for carrying out all Legionella risk assessments at client sites in accordance with BS8580-1 2019, ACOP L8 and HSG274. You will then be expected to advise and explain to site responsible persons and to account managers the findings of these assessments and the extent of the implications of non-compliances.


To interpret the significant findings identified in the assessment and communicate to the customer recommendations on the remedial actions.
To write up risk assessments in the company defined format and meet any deadlines required.
To inspect risk assessments carried out by others, highlighting any errors or omissions and to carry out coaching sessions to improve the quality and accuracy of reports.
To constantly look for ways to improve the whole risk assessment process, including ongoing revisions to the report template
To identify and report any Significant Matters of Concern to the site responsible person and your line manager.
Liaising with individual Account Managers with regards to all technical issues and to generate quotes.
Liaising and communicating with all relevant stakeholders to ensure all remedial works are completed satisfactorily.
Work to achieve K.P. I\'s and targets set and agreed with line manager.

The Successful candidate MUST have:

A recognised certification in Legionella Risk Assessing HSG274 parts 1, 2 & 3.
Have previous experience of carrying out legionella risk assessments on several systems such as evaporative cooling systems, process waters and recycled water.
An in-depth demonstrable knowledge of the Water Systems Regulations and the Control of Legionella Bacteria Code of Practice (L8) & HSG 274.
A level of self-sufficiency in legionella risk management, with knowledge gained through professional qualification and or experience.
Experience of carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments across a wide variety of properties, construction types and operations in the public sector, commercial and industrial properties would be desirable.
Ability to consult with customers and discuss procedures, remedials and actions.
Full UK driving licence is essential
