Senior Legionella Risk Assessor
This Industry specialist seeks a Senior Legionella Risk Assessor to join their professional team.
As Senior Legionella Risk Assessor, you will take full responsibility for the Risk Assessment production process from site survey/ inspection, full written reports with schematic drawings, authorisation prior to sign off and delivery to client. This may also include overseeing the process when undertaken by other team members.Covering London and the South East.
Assessments cover a variety of water systems.
This will include:
Generating necessary paperwork for all risk assessment orders and to schedule and complete assessments within agreed timeframes, including submission of reports to customers, ensuring that KPIs are met at all times.
Producing full written reports and schematics for a variety of systems.
Inspecting risk assessments carried out by others, highlighting any obvious errors or omissions and to carry out coaching sessions to improve the quality and accuracy of reports.
Constantly looking for ways to improve the whole risk assessment process, including ongoing revisions to the report template.
Maintaining knowledge of Legionella Risk Assessment practices and legislations, and water treatment products and equipment, and ensuring any training requirements are highlighted to management.
Ensuring full compliance with relevant standards, codes of practice and legislation, upholding Health and Safety standards as well as acting as an Ambassadorial face of the company and team.
Your week will be made up on 80% multi-site visits in London (over 3 days), one day from home
and one day in central Berks offic, working with the Technical and the Operations Directors to develop the department/role.
Experience and qualifications required:
* The successful candidate will be a qualified Legionella Risk Assessor, with extensive practical site experience that must include risk assessing cooling towers, and in-depth knowledge and understanding of water systems and associated water treatment plant (specifically Domestic Water Systems, Cooling Towers and other 'risk' systems).
* Minimum A levels, preferably qualified to degree level in a science/Engineering discipline, and recognised industry qualifications, such as City & Guild accredited or equivalent.
* Good knowledge of all water treatment legislation (specifically ACoP L8, HSG 274 BS 8580-1:2019) and other associated British standards.
* Good report writing and communication skills and full UK valid driving licence essential.
* You will be adept at using Microsoft 2000 or later (particularly Excel and Word, Internet and email).
Be living within an east commute of central Berk offices, so ideally Reading, Bracknell, Windsor, Maidenhead, Wokingham, Farnborough, Woking, Guildford, Farnham, Horsham and directly down to the coast with easy access to main roads (as the majority of the work is within London & you will need to come into Central Berks offices on occasion & certainly post covid).
