The Company:
Penguin Recruitment are proud to recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised and highly respected Engineering Consultancy that provides specialist engineering, design, project management and consulting services to the design and built environment. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit a dynamic and highly motivated Senior/Principal Risk & Safety Consultant to join their Technical Risk and Reliability division.
The Role:
As a Senior/Principal Risk & Safety Consultant, you will lead and support the team in providing technical risk, safety & reliability assessment support to clients, as well as developing safety cases, safety justifications and safety management systems to identify and remediate risk. You will be involved in the whole project lifecycle and will work alongside multidisciplinary design and project teams to incorporate RAMS management into the design and operation of complex building, system and infrastructure projects and ensure that all projects comply with CSM-RA and BS EN 50126 legislation and standards.
The Applicant:
To be considered for this role, is it essential that applicants possess a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar role, preferably within the Rail sector. You will have experience in qualitive and quantitate risk analysis, project management and possess strong technical expertise of system engineering, reliability engineering, safety engineering and risk assessment techniques in complex system industries.
Additional requirements include:
CEng (or working towards) Degree qualified in mathematics, science, or engineering MSc or Ph.D in relevant field (highly desirable) Ability to apply a risk-based approach to managing health and safety on complex systems Experience of HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, SIL, FCA/ECA, FMEA, RCFA, RAM, FTA and safety case development Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent communication, interpersonal and people management skills Good working knowledge of the principal RAM standards for railway system projects Experience in facilitating project risk workshopsThis is a golden opportunity to join one of the worlds leading multidisciplinary engineering companies that can offer a highly competitive salary at all levels, as well as a fantastic benefits package which includes Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance, Accident Insurance, Income Protection, Global Profit Share scheme and many additional flexible benefit options.
