On behalf of our client, a UK and Ireland wide supplier, we are seeking a Strategic Risk Manager for a full time, permanent opportunity.
This is an exciting new opportunity for an individual with experience in the management of risk in a complex, ambiguous environment who can perform effectively in challenging and changing circumstances to join an organisation renowned as a great place to work.
The Post Holder can be based in the UK or Dublin and can expect generous starting salary as well as a great range of benefits including:

You will need:
* Extensive experience in the management of risk in a complex, ambiguous environment and will be able to perform effectively in challenging and changing circumstances.
* You will be able to demonstrate an understanding and experience of the Energy sector (or a similar regulated industry) and will have knowledge and awareness of the Regulatory and Legislative obligations applicable to a Customer organisation.
* A relevant business degree.
* Hold a professional qualification in Accounting, Audit and/ or Risk Management.
* Have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to clearly articulate and present strategic content to Senior Management.
The Strategic Risk Manager will work in partnership with the organisation's internal departments and commercial customers to ensure they are maximising the value of their contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic and commercial focused manager to develop and contribute within this organisation.
Duties include:
* You will have responsibility for ensuring the effective management of strategic and enterprise risk across the business.
* Perform strategic risk management horizon scanning to assist management decision making and identify risks and opportunities that have the potential to impact on the business.
* Perform the role of Risk Management Subject Matter Expert for the business to ensure risk management is performed in line with procedures and the risk appetite of the business.
* Ensure appropriate Commercial Risk Management procedures are in place.
* Undertake key risk reviews for the Executive Committee and Leadership Teams to provide assurance that risk management is being conducted effectively to enable the achievement of the strategic goals and objectives of the business.
* Lead on the Business Continuity Planning for the business to ensure that the enduring goals of crisis management are met.
* Ensure forecasted financial risks are effectively reported to the Executive Committee.
* Facilitate the implementation of Key Risk Indicator reporting within the business units to enable a more proactive approach to risk management.
* Take a lead role on all DPIA activity, ensuring that data ownership and accountability is understood by all.
