An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Treasury Risk and Compliance Lead to provide expertise and support to Treasury teams, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulation and guidance.

Reviewing all key processes and lead the update of documentation to support the development of the team, while ensuring robust risk management processes are in place and risk is appropriately mitigated.

The Treasury Operations team are currently working from home therefore you will start your journey with us being home based with some potential travel to our Leeds site with a view to move forward to a balance of office and home based working.

What You'll Do
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and credibility with key business areas in order to increase cross-team knowledge, and support upskill of Treasury Operations in Risk and Compliance.
• Lead the partnering relationship with Financial Crime teams to fully embed the Treasury customer due diligence process within the team; developing and updating documentation on process flow diagrams and key control policies and procedures.
• Work with the Treasury Operations Management Team, advising on the interpretation and implementation of relevant external regulation and guidance, liaising with internal risk teams as required.
• Provide support and advice to the Treasury Operations Management Team to ensure all internal limit control frameworks are adhered to and reported accurately.
• Review Treasury payment processes and update if necessary, ensuring they comply with industry standards and internal control processes.
• Proactively identify and drive improvements of systems, processes and procedures in order to increase team efficiency and performance whilst maintaining the management of related risks.
• Ensure the team embed Data Governance processes and procedures in line with best practice.
• Provide advice and support to Treasury Operations Management Team on supplier management processes.

How You'll Do It
• Experience of translating risk management into operational teams gained from working within a financial services organisation.
• Knowledge of risk and control frameworks and implementing them in operational teams.
• An understanding of Treasury activities would be preferred.
• Experience of working in a deadline driven environment.
• Rigorous, methodical and excellent attention to detail.
• Proactive approach, with ability to work within and across teams as well as independently.
• Ability to translate complex information into a clear and concise manner.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse effectively with senior stakeholders.
