Water Risk Management Consultant required to support the development of the water hygiene management consultancy business and the provision of professional advice relating to health, safety and environment legislation.

Provision of a high quality consultancy service in the area of water hygiene management including but not limited to:

* Analysing and assessing Client's exposure to risk against non-compliance with ACOP/L8, HSG274, HTM 04 - 01 etc. Working primarily within the Housing market but with additional work in care, commercial and industrial premises.

* Data analysis, handling and manipulation of confidential Client information via varying IT software packages and tools.

* Meeting and reporting to Clients and Line Manager on progress

* Auditing Water Management Policies and identifying non-compliance with suggested improvements.

* Informing Clients of the requirements within relevant guidance and providing professional advice and training as required.

* Assist in the development of communications strategies for Clients to allow information exchange between relevant working bodies.

* Conducting routine Legionella monitoring and sampling tasks when required.

Supporting effective business communication through advice, review and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate.

Identify and relay information about new work opportunities by identifying high quality revenue and profit growth during the creation of new business. Supporting the new business work-winning process through solutions development, participation in presentations and consultation meetings, bid and contract generation and review, and support to mobilisation and resourcing activities on new contracts.

Positive management of customer and partner relationships. Ensuring customer focus within all areas of business operational and support activities. Assisting to ensure the financial control of the contract is within the Client's budget and ensuring Project Managers are kept fully aware of progress and expenditure.

Complete and maintain such records and systems as required to demonstrate high standards of performance and cost effectiveness.

Minimum of 5 years Legionella risk assessment and water hygiene monitoring experience is essential. Incumbents should be able to demonstrate a career showing continuous personal development.

In depth understanding of the construction or water hygiene services industry, or ideally both with specific experience in water hygiene risk management solutions. In depth knowledge of legislation pertaining to Legionella risk management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Numerate and computer literate. Able to create and analyse technical and operational data including the drawing of schematic diagrams. Excellent motivation skills.

A good general education to degree level or equivalent by experience in a subject allied to Water Hygiene Management. Chartered status or at least member/graduate of a recognised professional institute.

Ability to establish and build effective working relationships with clients, suppliers and other partners, including Group representatives, other consultants, and contractors.
A positive working attitude with good communication skills and flexibility in a dynamic role. A high level of energy, a self-starter, confident and stable in manner, and able to prioritise and work on a range of activities within a high-pressure environment. Commercial awareness and a flexible attitude to both the type of work undertaken and the level of responsibility accepted.
Willingness and ability to travel widely on occasions to support new business development and participate in training. Occasional overnight stays may be needed
