Risk and Controls Oversight Manager

Job Title Risk and Controls Oversight Manager
Location Glasgow or Manchester

The Core Governance & Infrastructure (CGI) team has been established to provide a central infrastructure to sustain and enhance CCO principals to meet the Firm\'s Control Objectives through the creation of Centres of Excellence or Practices.

Reporting to the CGI Business Management team, in this role you will support CGI Practices in the development and implementation of stakeholder management and communication plans. With initial focus on the 2018 RCSA Programme, you will be the go to person for the RCSA Leadership team to deliver a pragmatic and target communication strategy. You will also leverage experience in the RCSA Programme to understand interlocks with the other CGI Practices to ensure efficient and effective coverage across CCO stakeholders.

Your Role
• Development of a 2018 RCSA communication plan to ensure consistent clear messages are received
• Central point-of-contact for RCSA Working Groups, helping them to navigate the forums and understand their roles and responsibilities in this priority deliverable.
• Preparation of content for governance, and communication forums
Maintenance of the RCSA Stakeholder Map, updating for changes and onboarding new stakeholders efficiently and effectively
• Partner with the central CGI Business Management and Transformation team to continue building out and refining the CGI target operating model
• Respond to changes in Practice priorities, service offerings, location strategy and MTP process
• Create and maintain a catalogue of key communication artefacts, including sensitive regulatory documents
• Support Practice Leads in the roll out of key people agenda items across CGI, including: eg. Talent management, training and engagement, MTP process and resource management

Essential Skills
• Experience of developing and maintaining complex stakeholder maps, utilising them to develop supportive and functioning forums and networks
• Experienced in communications including writing and producing high quality, creative and engaging content in a variety of formats.
• Background in risk and control in a financial services environment; contributing to risk control assessments and identifying controls.
Desirable skills
• Good working knowledge of excel
• Understanding of HR people agenda would be advantageous
• Up to date knowledge of Barclays risk and controls environment
• Working knowledge of Barclays business management functional responsibilities - goals, financials, MTP process, resource management
